Regina is not only the capital of Saskatchewan, but also the 16th largest city in Canada. Thanks to recent investments in various sectors, the entire economy of Regina has experienced a boost, creating a significant number of new job opportunities. This has made the area an attractive destination for job seekers from all around the globe.

The Mackenzie Art Gallery

Regina has a long history of art and culture, and you can experience much of it at the Mackenzie Art Gallery. Housing exhibitions of contemporary, and historical art from around Saskatchewan and other parts of Canada; as well as, from and around the globe. The gallery is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon.

The Regina Symphony

The Regina Symphony is Canada’s oldest continuously performing orchestra. You can catch one of their concerts at the Conexus Arts Centre, where other local, and visiting musicians perform.

The Globe Theater

This theater’s mainstage is the only permanent professional theater-in-the-round, in all of Canada. If you’ve never experienced a performance-in-the-round, it s very special, and definitely worth checking out.

Outdoor Fun

Regina offers a lot of opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. With a plethora of local parks, athletic fields, playgrounds and picnic sites, you have plenty of ways to get outside and stay active.

Plus, there’s beautiful Wascana Lake, where you can enjoy the marina, restaurant and pedestrian trails. Just mind the geese!

Warehouse District

If you want to wet your whistle with something besides lake water, head to the Warehouse District. Make sure to hit Bushwakker Brew Pub that occupies a 1913 warehouse, and offers a dozen local beers on tap, as well as live shows.

Cathedral Village Cafes & Shops

In the mood for a bit of shopping? Then head to Cathedral Village, just several blocks west of Albert St. on 13th Ave, near Downtown. Here you’ll find charming cafes, bookshops and restaurants.
